Description

For dedicated night hunters, darkness isn’t an obstacle—it’s an edge. And now, that edge is sharper than ever.

Meet the RIX Leap L12R, a professional-grade 1280×1024 thermal riflescope engineered for hunters who demand absolute clarity, precision, and confidence after dark. From stalking hogs in thick timber to scanning open fields for coyotes, the L12R ensures nothing escapes your view.

At its core is a 1280×1024 high-resolution thermal sensor, delivering four times the pixel density of standard thermal scopes. Paired with a 2560×2560 AMOLED round display, the viewing experience feels remarkably natural—like shooting with a traditional day scope.

Clarity goes beyond resolution. With an ultra-sensitive NETD <15mK, the L12R detects the faintest heat differences, revealing animals concealed by dense brush, humidity, fog, or rain. Even in challenging conditions, targets remain crisp and well-defined.

Unlike digital zoom that sacrifices image quality, the L12R features true continuous optical zoom, maintaining clarity across all magnifications. AI-powered RET Technology further enhances edge definition, contrast, and fine detail, allowing precise identification and confident engagement—even at extended ranges.

An integrated laser rangefinder measures distances up to 1,312 yards, while real-time ballistic calculations instantly provide corrected aiming points. No external devices. No guesswork. Just faster, more accurate, and more ethical shots.

Built for long nights and unforgiving environments, the LEAP L12R features a rugged housing, metal lens protection, and an intuitive 3-knob + 2-button control layout. Its dual battery system delivers up to 6.5 hours of continuous runtime, ensuring reliable performance when it matters most.

When the hunt demands uncompromising precision, the Leap L12R delivers.

Just wanted to add something to my first review since I have hunted with the scope for a while. The range finder is phenomenal. It is the quickest most accurate range finder I have ever used. Short press to turn on put the dot on object press again and you're ready to shoot with confidence your range is correct. If you're shooting out past 300 yards your range, better be correct or you can throw your ballistic calculator out the window because you are not going to hit your target. Also, if you range say 200 yards bump up your magnification before shooting to get some spread between your two crosshairs or they will be stacked on top of each other. I've made a lot of kills on racoons, coyotes and hogs out past 300 on a regular occasion, but the scope gets to pixelated out past 400 yards on 16x for the exact hold. My Rico 2 S75R is by far the best long-range scope I own but the range finder is shady about giving me exact yardages that I need to make super long shots. I don't have that problem with the Rix it just needs to be a 3x base mag. The image on the Rico is a sight to behold at long range.

First Outdoor Legacy staff are Super, and they wil get your optic to you very quickly if you purchase before lunch. First off if you want to use the Ballistic calculator, you will have to purchase the Rix+ app from the app store. You will have to load data and save it to the scope. Must be done on your phone, can't do it within the scope like Nocpix and Agm. The image is really good. Scope not the greatest on battery power carry plenty of extra batteries with you. I like the wheels better than buttons but don't care for the one on right. Pretty cool how quick you can get to menu with just minor turn on left wheel. Easy enough to get sighted in, bust stay in y&x mode while shooting its really quick that way. I thought i might shoot long range with it but Han's warned me you need minimum of 3X base if you want to shoot out past 400 yards. My Nocpix Rico2 S75R is the ticket for super long distances, 714 yards longest kill shot to date with 4-600 fairly regular. I think the Rix lacks some magnification for over 400 yards, so I got it on a 22 arc to shoot small hogs, coyotes and raccoons. Ive shot that rig against guys on a steel range in daylight out to 600 yards that had 30X scopes and 12K custom rifles. But like the donkey that ran in the horse race ain't won nothing, but they definitely knew I was there. The Rix scope ain't light but all my high-end scopes are heavy. It's a good scope, just make sure before you buy any scope run it buy Han's and Jason first, they can save you lots of money and steps. They will break there back to help you if you run into a problem, you need help with. Good hunting and God Bless.
