This is a great product with excellent customer service. I had been shopping around for a while but was overwhelmed by all the options. I called Outdoor Legacy, and they suggested a thermal as the best choice for me. Even though I was looking at a product nearly twice the price, they recommended the ST6. They certainly have the customers best interest in mind.

I love it. It works well in the field and city, night or day. This is worth it. My only problem was buying an adapter to connect to my Wilcox mount. I had to buy that from another store. I am ready to rock and roll. I recommend you add that to your store.

Called and asked for who had the most experience with Helmet Mounted Thermal. Jason called me back and we had a great discussion which led me to purchase this the Stride 6. My biggest worry was not being able to identify Coyotes at 300 to 400 yards since this was a 1x Magnification. But I can say this is not a problem at all. The zoom is great even though you lose pixels, it still is very solid. Now I can go hands free with my Helmet and dont have to hold up my handheld scanner all night. If we were hunting hogs it would not be a problem, but we hunt 18min sets all night long and scan in 180* motions looking for the critters to come into our call. This unit is great and super good image compared to my Thermion Duo XP50 640 which was $6K from ODLegacy. You cant beat the customer service. I want to talk to someone before rolling the dice on expensive toys. Oh, I also had the unit shipped to a UPS Store which worked out great!

I hunt coyotes most at night and live near a 20,000 acre state forest. Sometimes I locate packs, receive responses to my vocalizations but cannot get them out of the tree line. This is especially frustrating as there are miles of wide, maintained trails through the forest that are used for hiking, horseback riding, cross country skiing and snowmobiling that the coyotes use for travel (their scat is all over the trails). I have found through previous attempts that walking down a trail holding a magnified handheld thermal scope does not work at all. I explained my situation to Hans, as was I was inquiring about the Rix Stride ST6 Thermal monocular which has base magnification of 1.0. Hans correctly indicated that this was the optic I was looking for so I purchased it. I also purchased an inexpensive Airsoft Helmet and a Wilcox G24 compatible helmet mount which connects to a highly adjustable mount that RIX includes with the ST6. I have recently got to try out the entire set-up on some nighttime trail hikes and it has completely exceeded my expectations. I would like to thank Hans for his insights and Jessica in inside sales who arranged to have it shipped to a UPS drop off point so I did not have to worry about an expensive package sitting on the porch.
