Rix Storm S6 2-8x Thermal Rifle Scope

The Storm S6 fit my needs perfectly. Great image quality and fairly straight forward operation menu. I can't wait to put it to work next month.

Can’t go wrong with this one. Light, easy to operate, great battery life, and nice resolution. I mounted this on a 6.8 spc pistol AR. Sight in was easy. I love the small size reminiscent of the old Pulsar Core, of which I still have one. Resolution is fantastic for the price point. Hans said this was the best deal going and I believe him. I’ve only had it a couple weeks but got on a group of hogs already. No issue. I purchased an additional 2 18650 batteries on Amazon for about $20 but the one night I stayed out for 5 hours I only used one battery. I have four and doubt I’ll ever need them as the battery life is excellent. I prefer a 2.5x base magnification but can live with the 2x base magnification. If you are a coyote hunter you may want to consider alternatives. For hogs, this is the bomb right now in 2024.

After listening to the reviews I thought this would be a good thermal for my wife. We have a coyote problem here at home, and she's going with me first time hog hunt for her.
I've been using an AGM VARMIT LRF 50-640, and this optic is just as good. Much better than ever expected at that price

I called Outdoor Legacy last week and ask to speak to Hans but he was on another line, but staff member took my info and within a few minutes he called me back. I explain I was on the fence between RIX Storm S6 and the AMG Rattler. We talked about my needs, how I wanted for dual purpose for spotting as well as being able to use as scope to keep coyotes under control.
I have to say that I am very impress with the Rix Storm S6, got it in mail this morning and open it up and everything was perfect. I put my batteries on charge and read the manual then mounted it on my 308 SFAR. Took it to my gun range, set it at a 100 yards, I got to say I like the concept of freeze frame but I myself found it easier to make adjustments on the fly and it tracked right in, did I get there in one shot, no, but the last 4 were 3/4 inch MOA at a 100 yards with a rest in the center of RIX supply thermal target.
I went out tonight, didn't see no coyotes but I did see a button head, nice 4 point on one side, and a rabbit, the clarity was amazing just a little over 100 yards. I am very happy with my purchase, and I would definitely buy from outdoor legacy again!
