Absolutely Incredible Optic

I must admit, this is a big ticket item for a "nice to have". But if you are looking for quality optic that has an integrated LRF with incredible ballistics solution, this is a great choice. I currently own a Pulsar Talion XQ35 Pro and will tell you it holds it's own when compared side-by-side to competitor optics that cost much more. There is just something about the Pulsar image and intuitive menu's that I prefer hands down.

So prior to the purchase of the new Thermion 2 XP 60, I made a call to Outdoor Legacy and spoke with Hans about my particular application. We talked through all the specifications and capabilities of this optic and he assured me that stepping up to the XL 60 with the 1024 sensor wouldn't necessarily increase my range/capability and it likely wouldn't leave me wanting a 1024 just because it has a higher resolution. Not to say the XL 60 wouldn't be a completely incredible optic, but my wife almost had a cow when I pitched the idea for the XP 60.

As far as capabilities, I hand load for most of my firearms and on one property I hunt, I'm limited to a straight wall rifle. Mid 2025 I purchased a Ruger Gen II Ranch 16" barrel 350 Legend for our alternative firearm season so I thought lets work up a load for that little guy. I ended up picking a 9mm 147gr Hornady XTP HPBT and packed it with 28.5 gr of Lil'Gun and MV is right at 2550fps. It produced a .75MOA zero at 100yds so I started stretching out to 300yds and got it trued. I have video evidence of coyotes getting smacked at 275 and can't believe how accurate the ballistics solution is. Trueing your gun is key at those distances.

Bottom line, I honestly believe this thermal will last me at least a decade, if not longer. Highly recommend Pulsar and highly recommend Outdoor Legacy!!!
