There are no elk or pigs where I live So I was able to see deer at over 1000 thousand yards And be confident in what they are. Not sure, but you could probably tell the difference between a pig and a deer at six or 700 yards. I was looking at a field 1200 yards away and I could clearly see a trail running through the middle of the field, even though everything is basically the same temperature. This is my first thermal device So I don’t have a lot to compare to-but I’m pretty impressed.
