Pulsar’s pocket-sized thermal monocular family—the Axions—have another member – the Axion 2 XG35! With a powerful 640x480 microbolometer that detects heat signatures over 1900 yards away, this is an excellent device for scoping large areas and locating prey. It then transmits these images to a pristine 1024x768 AMOLED display, giving the user clear, crisp image of their target.
With 2.5-20x magnification along with built-in photo and videorecording, Wi-Fi connectivity and a 16GB memory card, the Axion 2 XG35 is a technological wonder. The Axion 2 is also supported by the Stream Vision 2 app, enabling shooters to record and preserve all their precious shooting memories.
Weighing a mere 0.6lbs, the Axion 2 XG35 is made of a high-quality reinforced magnesium alloy that boasts IPX7 protection and operates in temperatures between -13F to 122F. Utilizing a Pulsar APS5 Li-ion battery, the Axion 2 operates for up to 11 hours.
The size and weight of the xg35 makes it so convenient to take it with you whenever you go. As far as image quality goes, it’s solid for the price. And this review wouldn’t be complete if I didn’t mention the outstanding customer service provided by Outdoor Legacy.
Pulsar Axion 2 XG35 2.5x-20x Thermal Monocular
I purchased the Axion 2 XG35 after much research and deliberation. I don’t like buyers remorse, so did a lot of due diligence in learning what I could about this unit before buying, including calling and speaking with the staff at Outdoor Legacy. They were great to work with and very helpful and honest in their feedback. I am new to thermal optics, but after having the XG35 for a couple of weeks now, I can say that I am satisfied with my purchase and no buyers remorse. This works well for my use and observation around the property and I expect it will be a valuable tool for helping to locate/recover game.
I am new to thermals. The Late Night Vision Show and HansETX videos were great breaking down what all the monoculars could and couldn’t do along with who each monocular was good for. The higher resolution with the smaller Axion sounded good but now after my wife and I have used it we only have one regret…should’ve bought 2!! I know there are better options out there but for the money and what we do it’s perfect. Thanks for the videos. We will be buying from Outdoor Legacy again!
